History of Station 11
Station 11 was the inheritance of the former quarters for North Ada County Fire and Rescue's (NACFAR) Station 2, which opened for North Ada County Fire in September, 1979. When NACFAR moved to their new quarters located on Chinden Boulevard, the city of Boise took the station, first housing it with the "lime green" American LaFrance Pioneer series engine in 1996. Soon after the opening the station received a new Simon/Duplex-Boise Mobile Equipment pumper.
In
2004, the station was remodeled and expanded.
